DMV Chocolate and Coffee Festival
We spent November 15th through 16th selling our wares at the DMV Chocolate and Coffee Festival. This was our third time as vendors at this extremely busy and amazing event! We sold over 600 bars over these two days — 100 more bars than last year. This was the DMV Chocolate and Coffee Festival’s last time at the Dulles Expo Center at 4320 Chantilly Shopping Center Drive, Chantilly, Virginia. The center is closing at the end of this year to become an Ikea. A new Dulles Expo Center is expected to be opening at Dulles Town Center in the old Lord & Taylor department store. So we look forward to next year’s DMV Chocolate and Coffee Festival in the new space!
Maryland Christmas Show
How did you spend your Black Friday and Thanksgiving weekend this year? We spent November 28th through 30th selling our wares at the Maryland Christmas Show in building 13 of the Frederick Fairgrounds. This was our second time as vendors. Last year, we were there on the first week of the show. This year, we were there on the second week of the show, which was significantly more crowded!
During the show, we met the owner of the Passionate Baker, who purchased some of our bars. And, of course, we could resist her Swedish ginger cookies, Linzer tarts, and Lebkuchen (German gingerbread cookies). To check out her website, please click the button below:

Here at Open Book Chocolates, we’re very excited for our upcoming events this month!
Sunday, December 7th: Annapolis Chocolate Binge Festival in Annapolis, Maryland.
Saturday, December 13th through Sunday, December 14th: Locally Crafted Two-Day Indoor Holiday Market at Rio in Gaithersburg, Maryland.
